Donate to the Healing Retreat

Waves of Hope’s grief relieving retreat is a program offered by Yoga 4 B, a 501(c)(3) dedicated to implementing yoga/mindfulness practices in our school system and ending the stigma surrounding mental illness. Y4B was started by Pamela Leal in memory of her beautiful daughter Bailey, who voluntarily left her body in 2013. Just 5 years later on February 14th 2018, Bailey’s younger sister Maddy was attending class at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and was present during the Parkland shooting. Thankfully she was not harmed in the tragic incident but it did fuel Pamela‚Äôs passion and her mission even further.

How we intend to use the funds:

$7500 – If we are able to raise $7500, we will provide airfare to 10 parents who want to come to this retreat, that otherwise could not afford to attend. We would like to provide these mothers and fathers with $500 to defray travel costs and allocate $2500, to defraying the costs of bringing wonderful and empathetic emotional healers, to lead workshops and one-on-one healing sessions with the parents who attend the retreat.

$10,000 – If we are able to raise $10,000 we will allocate $2500 to having a good time creating happy memories for these parents that will last a lifetime. All expense paid excursions, spa treatments, etc. Whatever we can afford, to make sure this event, is everything people have come to expect, of Vida Asana

$10,000+ – In the case that we raise more than $10,000 any left over funds will roll over for the next years retreat.
